Insider Information: Dating Advice for Women by Men
|
A lot of my girlfriends and I have been wondering what guys really want when they are dating us.
We've sat and talked about it a bunch of times, but I finally decided that I was tired of guessing.
I want dating advice for women from men.
I found some guys at the local coffee shop and asked them if they'd help out. What follows is
what they told me, the unadulterated truth as they see it. Brace yourselves girls, the answers
might surprise you.
It would seem that all of our old etiquette books have lied to us; men do not want their woman
to be docile. According to my sample, men are just as afraid of rejection as many women.

Dating Advice For Women By Men: The Truth!

Derek, 26, said that the best piece of advice he could give to women is to make the first move.
"It can be very intimidating to approach a woman. We take all the chances for rejection and
sometimes it'd be nice to be the one getting chased."
Dave, 23, went further saying, "No matter how cute she is I won't walk up to a girl when she's
out with her friends. It seems so invasive to interrupt their group. Ladies, we're always looking
to meet someone, so it's a safe bet when you come to talk to US."

Women should remain active partners once they are actually dating, too. Brandon, 22, said that he looks for women
that know what they want to do. "It gets tiring, always having to come up with new ideas for dates. Every once in a
while, it'd be nice if she had an idea of where to go or what to do." Dave agreed adding, "Do you know how sick of
'I don't know, what do YOU want to do' I am?" Steve, 20, picked up on this thread, saying "How would you feel if
your man didn't seem to care about anything? That's what it starts to feel like when a woman has no ideas." There
is also the risk, according to Derek that you will bore him. "If I wanted to be in control of everything, I'd just
watch porn. You have a mind use it! If you don't, I promise you I'm going to lose interest quickly."
Despite what we've been told by magazines and Hollywood, men care about more than our looks or as Dave puts it, "I
want to know that you've got a brain. I want my girlfriend to make me want to be better. Looking good is nice, but
that's only a small part of what keeps us interested." "Have opinions and ideas of your own," advises Derek. He
says that he looks for intelligence in his partners. "I mean, if you don't show me that you have your own brain
than I'm not going to respect your opinions. I think this is how women get disrespected so much. If you start of
letting me do all the thinking how am I going to respect your ideas later on?"
They all agreed that one of the biggest mistakes a woman could make while dating is to get "too serious." Dave said
it best, "If you start talking about love or marriage or anything like that on the third date, you've signed a
death warrant on the relationship. We may want to go that route sometime, but first we want to have fun and get to
know you."
I don't know about you, but I was surprised to hear these answers. Who knew that men were so much like us; that
they want a partner to be engaged in the relationship, to have brains and the courage to speak their mind? I
had started to believe that all they were really looking for was cleavage and a pretty face. But it seems that to
be successful dating women should take the advice offered freely by men; be yourself and have fun.
